We are planning lots of new things for the new year. 2010 was a great start for Pixie Dusted Proposals and we plan to continue to grow as the years progress. We would like to thank all of our readers and hope that you will continue to support us as we go through new changes and challenges with the new projects we take on. We would be nothing without you!
COMING IN 2011:
1. We are looking for some writers. I am just one person, who happens to work a very stressful/long day job at the moment. I hope to get on a more better job track. I would love some help with the blog. I can’t pay anyone to do it since I don’t get paid to write about what I love. However, I hope that I can find someone as interested in sharing some of Disney’s most Magical spots as I am. Keep a look out for new features and guest writers as we search for others to help our site grow.
2. A New Look. I am devoting lots of my spare time to learning how to make this site look and feel more interesting. I am new at the whole thing so I am hoping to make it look a lot better. I’m not sure how long it is going to take, but it will take shape within the first few months.
3. The Pixie Dust Project. If you haven’t checked out our recent post about our new project, please be sure to. We are planning to spread a little pixie dust at least once a week. We can’t do it alone and are going to need your help! Send any ideas you may have to us!
4. The Unknown. We have no idea what else is in store. The future is an ever changing place and we never know what ideas or projects will come up next. We’ll be sure to keep you posted!
Wishing you all the love and joy in the new year!!!!!!
Wow! So much is going on around me I can barely keep up with the world that suddenly got so fast! Christmas is already here and New Years is just around the corner. I am going to be doing some big things in 2011. I am going to be changing the look to the blog, moving, looking for a better job, looking into going back to school, and much much more! Plus all the surprises that this beautiful world has in store for me!
I have realized over this year, that when things get crazy, I get crazy. I begin to think that I can’t handle it or I get too overwhelmed. All that is going to change. I have decided that in 2011 I will be the happiest that I have ever been, no matter what happens.
So in 2011 I will roll out in full force The Pixie Dust Project. The Pixie Dust Project is a project designed by me that will revolve around making my life, as well as the lives of others, a happier, healthier life. I am going to be looking for all kinds of ideas and help, so let me know if you would like to join forces with me. I am hoping to do something new once a week.
We all know that Pixie Dust is magical. You can’t fly without it. So by spreading pixie dust around, I am hoping to add a little more sunshine into this world. I am also going to nickname this project : Pop Pop’s project after my pop who passed away from cancer this past August. Pop always believed in me and my dreams, he also knew everyone and their great uncle. People lined up for blocks in the rain at his funeral. My Pop was a Pixie Dust sprinkler whether he knew it or not. This is going to be in honor of him.
I am gathering a list of things to keep the Pixie Dust Project going. There are going to be things such as: Lifestyle Changes, Charities, Challenges and much more.
So what do you guys thing? Good idea? Want to help? Please please let me know!
One of my favorite things to do at Christmastime here at Walt Disney World is go to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The Magic Kingdom is lit with Christmas light and filled with Christmas music. You can have all the hot chocolate and sugar cookies you like and it’s magical. More magical than a normal day at the Magic Kingdom. It even snows on Main Street U.S.A.
If you want to propose during Christmas, this is the place to do it. There is a show that light’s Cinderella’s Castle, amazing fireworks that light up the sky to some of our favorite Christmas tunes, and a special parade featuring Santa Claus himself! But be aware that these Christmas Parties end the week before Christmas.
Check out these photos of some of the beautiful sites you can propose.

Surprise your love by wrapping the ring box like a present or attaching it to a snowflake.
Hello PDP readers! I’m sorry for the delay. The week of Thanksgiving was extremely busy at work and the time after has been extremely stressful with lots of things going on at work and at home and getting ready to move again.
We are in full Christmas swing now that we have passed the Thanksgiving mark and it’s time to get in a few posts about Christmastime proposals at Walt Disney World.
Our first proposal idea comes from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the only place where you can find the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. The Streets of America is lined with hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights that dance to Christmas songs every 15-30 minutes. Not only are these lights amazing to see, but Disney keeps the tradition of adding something new to the display every year. Even though it’s warm in Florida, it does not stop Disney from producing snow and making you feel like you are in a winter wonderland.
The light displays provide a number of a great places to propose. You could propose in the middle of Streets of America, under a canopy of red lights, by a giant light switch, or right under the Spectacle of Dancing Lights sign. You could toast your proposal with a warming cup of hot chocolate or an ice cold alcoholic beverage sold in the Studios.
Here are some of my favorite pictures of the lights:
